Lost phone equals lost brain, for me.
I have been rendered almost useless upon arrival in San Diego when I departed the plane and my phone vanished. I have looked everywhere at the airport and called and used “Find My iPhone” and it has vanished….
…along with all my reservations and addresses and plans for our big “Southern California spring break.”
I don’t want to hear I will learn to love being untethered.
I don’t.
I feel like I have brain damage.

I have no blog posts going out.
I am barely posting on my social media accounts.
I am missing phone calls I am waiting for.
I keep telling the family this vacation isn’t real if I am not documenting every moment.
[Insert picture of the baby sea lion on the beach that swam up to lay down by me and say hello]
Oh yeah, I didn’t have my phone.
Didn’t happen.
But it did.
Thank goodness for a mouthy teenager and his phone I had the pleasure of confiscating.
Now I get to log on…
AS A CRY FOR HELP!
Our carrier was supposed to mail me a replacement iPhone 6 plus 128 to the hotel to be received the next day.
They shipped it to our home in North Carolina…where FedEx will be returning it soon as we aren’t there to sign for it.
[Insert picture of me sobbing.]
The trip is going great and it’s beautiful here.
Oh!
I have a photo I took with my kids phone…
I took Peter to Disney yesterday with before mentioned phone.
The older boys wanted beach time instead. It made me so sad they are growing up so much.
We did get asked to ride in the captain’s car of the people mover.
That was so cool!
Off to do the San Diego Zoo today on the vacation that isn’t really real.
Do you think if I say it enough we will get to do this vacation again?
Because…
They have cabanas at the Hilton Oceanfront Resort in Carlsbad that they will bring truffle, parmesan fries to you.
They also have live music and a spa and amazing rooms.
Note teenager loving our room.
Home away from home.I would also have much better photos had I had my fancy iPhone 6 plus with me.
Another reason for a vacation redo.
Am I right?
