I just wanted to share a picture I snapped this week in my neighborhood. I love finding little gifts while doing something as monotonous as driving up to get my mail and finding this glorious sky to watch the whole way. Sometimes I complain about winter too much. I like seasons. I need contrast. It makes me appreciate all months, but lets face it by February I am a little Jack from “The Shining.”) It also gives me something to look forward to.
Right now, every time I let our dog out I check to see if the little crocus I planted around the porch steps are blooming. Planting the flowers in the yard so that we have blooms in stages makes me smile nearly all year in North Carolina. This is not accidental. I have planned the yard this way. I even plant bulbs in inserts and place them in pots so I can have them indoors longer. I am that much of a control freak. If I just had the same drive to clean…
There is beauty with the trees without the leaves. That is something I have to remind myself sometimes about everything. Then our gorgeous planet, God or the Gods, Mother Nature or science says, LOOK UP.
Look up. Happy Saturday!
