I am sorry, in advance, for our Halloween display.
You may want to keep your small children from coming over to play at Miss Abbie’s house until after the holiday.
If you decide to still send them*, you may want to talk to them first about Miss Abbie and how funny she thinks Halloween is.
He’s done…
*Please do not come over Oct 1 – Nov 1 if you have any type of heart ailment or unresolved aneurysm.
Think “Haunted Mansion” at Disney.
Oh, one more public service announcement to friends that are realtors and people trying to sell a house on my street.
I am sorry. I hear spring is the best time to move anyway.
BTW: I did not order this skeleton, despite it being on sale. You would have to be pretty sick and twisted to have a clown skeleton.

I can not thank you adequately for the posts on your web site. I know you’d put a lot of time and effort into them and hope you know how much I appreciate it. I hope I’ll do exactly the same for someone else at some point.

Love your decorations, Abbie! I’m not a huge fan of Halloween, but I do like to see the little ones in their costumes … and this year I wrote my first ever spooky Halloween poem! It was so much fun! BWAHHAHAHAHA!! … ps, you need to find your ‘like’ button! LOL! 🙂 xox

“Like”.
You remember late October in Michigan, I’m sure, and all the kids grumbling because they’re wearing winter coats over their costumes – probably not a problem for you anymore!

No it isn’t and we tried to squeeze our coats UNDER our costumes. This is also why my mom dressed me up as weird puffy things like onions and chocolate chip cookies. I guess I am no better. I want Peter to be Laura Ingals. 😉 You know he would be PERFECT!

I hate that we don’t celebrate Halloween in South Africa!! The righteous and pious send out prayer chains to ward off evil………………………. I think I will take my grandchildren to USA so they can experience Halloween!

We do it in fun. I don’t even like the graveyard stuff. I am more of a silly Halloween girl. I have three boys and we love to have fun with it. No gore but lots of laughs.
You can come here. Our little street does a potluck for dinner. We let all the kids walk the street in a parade and then head back to our gazebo to eat. Our neighborhood club sends the golf course tractors out filled with straw for the trick or treaters and we love it. I even put out pumpkin coffee bar for the moms and dads to make a to-go cup.
We even had a family of a neighbor bring their kids from France to trick or treat with us.
More Halloween pictures and stories to come over the next month!
