I Need You

March 6, 2013

For three mornings my husband Jim has listened to what my mornings are like with our kids. He is on vacation this week and with no where to go, as the kids are not on break. Today they shamed him into driving them to school. His parting words? “Boarding school cannot possibly cost much more [...]

Friendships, Opinions and Social Media

November 7, 2012

It is so hard to voice political opinions when you are talking friendships. You want to respect one another. I have been very careful to not voice my opinion online. I was just over on my Facebook page and found so many people I respect and care about are complaining about the outcome of the [...]

I love it when I come across something my boys have done that I didn’t know about. Here is a video our Peter shot at one of his special critter catching locations. The walk to the creek the time prior revealed a snake.  It looks like he went back with our big black rubber [...]

The Trouble With Trends

June 30, 2012

The trouble with trends is they come back. They are cyclical. A swing of a pendulum and we go from neons to pastels and from pointy high heels to round toe ballet shoes.

Frog Hunting With Kids During Summer Evenings

June 28, 2012

Sense of humor…Peter likes to take “frog orders” before he heads out. I say I would like a green tree frog and his brothers might say a bullfrog. Peter especially likes to watch people open the tote and see how many he has brought home. Below is poor Mitchell not expecting dad to pull giganto bullfrog out.
